Ancient Hallicanassus, city of the great Mausoleum, one the seven wonders of antiquity, is today modern Bodrum, a relaxing party town with a magnificent mountain surrounding, that is full of great markets and home to stunning sunsets. The sand is warm as well as the water, and this popular destination has to be seen to be believed.

Bodrum is the most beautiful mediterranean town to see. The best time to go is in late summer due to the lessening of Tourist at this time, yet it is still very warm and sunny. You can walk down the narrow streets and shop at the numerous stores that line the streets for miles or you can walk a few meters and sit on the beach eating dolma, a popular dish. The people are very warm and welcoming and will always greet you as you enter their store.
There is also much sightseeing to do, especially at the castle.

The nightlife is beautiful and fun. You can check out the many clubs/bars or sit on the beach and watch the boats and people go by.
